Qal'at al-Bahrain, also known as Bahrain Fort, is an archaeological site where archaeological excavations carried out since 1954. It has been termed as Bahrain's "most important site in antiquity." The area is believed to have been occupied for about 5000 years and it gives a valuable understanding into the Copper and Bronze Ages of Bahrain.
